Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees insulating crews as they perform their duties, ensuring the job is done efficiently and to Soundseals Insulation Standards.

Provides training and guidance to less-experienced installers as to the type of insulation to use and the best method of installing the materials.

Keeps a watchful eye on the progress of those working under him or her and provides weekly or daily feedback to the GM on the teams work and training development.

Ensures his or her team is following ALL Ontario Health and Safety Association (OHSA) regulations, using all required PPE and following all Company Policies.

Experienced and knowledgeable in the proper methods of insulation installation.

Makes certain that all the proper installation steps are being completed and that the insulating job is up to code and according to the work order provided daily.

Update Sales Rep daily on the progress of the job.

Update the GM at end of day as to what is needed on site for the next day.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
-
Installs and replaces insulation in buildings.
-
Clears and disposes of old insulation according to established safety guidelines.
-
Loads and unloads insulation materials.
-
Installs or blows insulation in attics, ensuring to job specs (R-value) and to Soundseals Insulation Standards.

Measures and cuts insulation to fit into walls, ceilings, and around pipes.

Fastens insulation in place with tape, screws, staples, or fasteners as needed.

Transports needed tools and equipment to jobsite, ensuring all needed material is loaded. Also ensures all SSI equipment is returned to the shop.

Follows company and industry safety guidelines and regulations, including completion of any/all on-line Health and Safety courses assigned to you within a reasonable time.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Clock in and out on the Blip App, downloaded to your phone.

Fill out maintenance request for trucks/compressors/hoppers etc. at end of day as needed, before leaving the shop.
Required Skills/Abilities:
-
Knowledge of insulation materials and ability to determine best material for a project.
-
Ability to follow instructions.
-
Ability to use hand tools and power tools to install insulation.
-
Ability to work at heights (valid WAH required, but training will be provided)
-
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
-
Excellent time management skills.
-
Excellent communication skills.
Education and Experience:
-
Related experience preferred, but training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
-
Prolonged periods standing, bending, or climbing ladders.
-
Ability to work in confined spaces.
-
Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.
